What do you have to lose?

Anyone I saw out on their bike today that wasn’t wear a helmet got one of these.50014~Finger-Posters.jpg Yes, I know is not very nice but for some reason I felt like doing it. I heard a really funny thing the other day. “I have no good reason for not wearing one, I am old school”… spoken by the man with a blackberry and an SRM.

We went to see the doctor for Myriams check up and all is well. I really appreciate all the emails and comments I have received and can’t say how much all my friends and family mean to me. Speaking of friends check out these videos of Jeff Lenosky.
Opps:

Don’t try this at home:

PICT1455.JPGThree days off the bike and all the pain is gone. I did all of Nature Valley with my saddle about 1cm low. Not sure what that did to my performance but am sure it did a number on my right knee. I have found over the year my right leg to be way more fragile than my left. I my cleat position, saddle for/aft or height isn’t right on I really feel it. The obvious question is that have been doing this long enough why isn’t that stuff always right on? I really don’t have an answer to that other than I need to double and triple check every time I get on my race bike. The other body part that is back in order is my chest/pectorial muscles. It seems tussling on the pavement after taking some time off from that type of activity will cause some pain. Now its time to go pedal. I am going to be home for a few weeks and am really excited to get in a solid block of training before racing again.

NV wrap up

Sunday, June 24th, 2007

Overall it wasn’t a great race for me. The highlight was the late night smashing of what we found out to be a sex offender and making the podium on stage two. The low spots were sucking Friday and today. We are here for a couple more days to visit with the BMC guys but I am going to sleep now and will drag some more words and pictures together for tomorrow.

Today is the National Holiday of Quebec.
I’m just coming back from a BBQ in Superior, CO where around 30 people from Quebec were celebrating together. I was surprise to see that many people. It was really nice to hear some french and to hear their stories.
