Have you seen it?

This was the worst athens I have ever done. The bad news started 3 laps
in when a guy smashed into a pothole and lost control right in front of
me. It was on the downhill and we were going fast but I got it slowed
way down beofre plowing into him. I went over the bars cirque du soliel
style and landed on my feet, I tried to run it out but couldn’t get my
feet going quick enough and did some slide thing. (See the picture,
those were cleats I put on today!) I did the silde and fell lightly on
my hip, no major damage. Once I got my bike in order and to the pit and
watched the field go by with a group of 7 off the front. I got pushed in
way in the back after one of the neutral guys ran into after pushing
another guy in and the next lap ken went down in a nasty one between 3
and 4. Jackson though chad had gotten across but he didn’t and with 5
teams clogging the front the break was long gone before we could make
anything happen. A half dozen crashes and a 5 minute break while they
cleaned guys off the pavement we were at about 4 to go when another big
one happen with guys down al over the place including frank pipp who had
lapped and I figured for the win. When this one went I got it completly
stopped but somone behind me couldn’t and plowed into me. I hit the
floor than got ran over. (See the picture of missing skin caused by
someones chainring)
Winning this race in 2003 then going 3rd while leading brice out for the
win in 2004 are highlights of my racing but after tonight I don’t think
I will be back to Athens if the keep the format of pro 1/2 as it is
now.

What you see is a muffin from the Co Op sitting in my kitchen waiting for Myriam and I to devour it. I think everyone stops there when they are in Ned. Well, I don’t know about everyone but everyone should that was the best muffin ever. Today I did a really good mtn ride and have to say the snow we had on Monday and Tuesday made for beautiful scenery up there today. I am feeling better every ride but still sucking a bit when I hit redline at altitude but I think I am just about there. I went and saw Dr. Dave again tonight and am as happy as ever with the treatment. He did the same test and it seems I am holding up well. Its still unbelievable to me that he was able to fix an issue I had in less than and hour that had me ready to quit bike racing.
I head to Athens tomorrow for the criteriums Saturday night and Sunday evening. I missed it last year because of my accident during the Tour of Ga. so am really excited to get back. I am going to leave the cpu at home for this short trip but will try to update from the Sidekick. It shouldn’t be too hard to take a few pictures Saturday that will influence some of you to check out the race in the future.
ROSIE O’Donnell’s blue humor made faces red when she emceed the Matrix Awards in front of 2,000 feting New York’s most accomplished women in media at the Waldorf-Astoria Grand Ballroom yesterday.
The loose-lipped lesbian dropped the F-bomb as Barbara Walters lowered her head on the dais and covered her face with her hand. O’Donnell concluded a rant about Donald Trump by grabbing her crotch and shouting, “Eat me!” O’Donnell also said she was sad when Trump called her “disgusting” and “fat” because, “it was always my dream to give an old, bald billionaire a boner.”

Rosie O’Donnell’s stormy tenure on “The View” will be a short one. The opinionated host was unable to agree on a contract with ABC, and she’ll leave the show in June.
O’Donnell said on the show Wednesday that she wanted to stay for one more year, and ABC wanted three. So she decided to leave, although she said she will appear occasionally next season for things like a planned one-hour special on autism.
“It just didn’t work,” she said, “and that’s show biz. But it’s not sad because I loved it here and I love you guys and I’m not going away.”
O’Donnell has helped raise the ratings for the daytime chat show invented by Barbara Walters. But her outspokenness has caused continual controversy, including a nasty name-calling feud with Donald Trump that placed Walters squarely in the middle.
“We have had, to say the least, an interesting year,” Walters said.
