Do you agree with this piece or are you repping the helmet-less? All of the comments on the link have been from people that would be dead otherwise. Are the helmet-less that afraid to explain why they do what they do? Not to dismiss but pros seem to be as bad as anyone about not sporting helmets. Can you explain why this is? I am personally at a loss. It makes no sense.
My bad, I guess I didn’t work through the archives on that one. Sadly, I’m not accustomed to your stance coming from a pro, that’s why I asked. Why is that? Too many peers that choose the no lid option I guess but it’s good to see those posts. Seriously…what do your colleagues say? I used to heckle people about it (especially all the Lombardi’s toolbags back in the Bay Area…not quite as bad in Boulder) but at this point…hey, Stupid Is As Stupid Does. I just don’t want to be the guy in the group ride that has to watch someone die or splatter brains all over the road when they touch wheels. I’d much rather ride with the dude sporting shorts and no warmers in 40 degrees than the guy who thinks a beanie is protection. But that’s just me.
