I got 2nd again last night.
Tonight I pretty much did nothing. Somewhere between 5th and 10th but I’m not sure where. I think I am a little tired mentally as well as physically. I got in a random argument with a Grand Performance guy for pretty much no reason. Hopefully I will see him tomorrow and clear it up.
I just flipped over to ESPN2 to see what is happening and I found USA beating China in the World Softball Championship by a score of 10-0 in the first inning.
Prior to another afternoon laying around Jon and I went down to the Lake Front Alterra location. Its a nice coffee shop with heaps of outside seating and always a fair place to people watch. Bike racers, moms, weird old dudes, college kids, weird old dudes, and more bike racers. We are here for another three days and I am pretty sure we will be visiting the Lake Front spot each day. What I’m not sure is if we will see the ninja we saw on your left. This guy was doing some martial arts practice on the tree in front of him. He told Jono to “bring it” and Jono told him “ohhh…its broughten”!
I just started watching the tour today and was surprised to see the yellow guys all on the front chasing 15 guys that are sitting at 3 minutes. It totally reminds me of wrestling practice, “If one of you is half assing it you will all suffer.” The other thing I think about whenever I see a team miss a big move was Vasila crit in 2002. It was my second race with 7up and I was as green as my jersey. The race was hard and I guess we weren’t feeling it because we missed move after move. About halfway through the race Corbett drop this on us, “You guys miss another move and I want you all to quit and get in the van.” Although we didn’t miss moves and Charles got up there in the kick I am sure Jeff was serious and he would he preferred us to just quit then continue sucking.
