Linnea Luscher, 39, was killed in front of almost a dozen witnesses who were stopped at a traffic light on the Diagonal Highway. Her death came as the Front Range marked Bike & Walk to Work Week, and Bike & Walk to Work Day on Wednesday.

It was the second fatal accident involving a bicyclist and a gravel truck this month.

Monday’s accident happened about 10 a.m. at the intersection of the Diagonal Highway and 63rd Street, near Gunbarrel, and just north of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks. The accident and subsequent investigation disrupted Longmont-bound traffic for hours.

The tension is building between Scottscott.jpg and Jacksonjackson.jpg. I will try to et an interview with them later today or tomorrow and see what they each have to say. Hopefully I will be able to get a press conference organized for Wednesday evening. Right now Scott is calling for a minimum 15 second margin of victory over Jackson in the TT Thursday. Jackson has said “That’s crazy and impossible” and says he will be victorious by 10 seconds.

Its closed but their wireless isn’t so I am sitting on a bench at the corner of Main and State in Rochestor, NY. We did a twilight crit here last night, good course, crowd, and prize list made for great racing. The team rode awesome and if I could have pedaled a little quicker we would have won.
Off to Boston later today, Fitchburg at the end of the week then Longmont 8 days from now.

Whilst there is numerous debates flying at the moment to how far Allen could have continued his dream run for(had to stop for host housing commitments) there is no doubt about the mans stunning ability to pilot a vehicle through the trickiest of wind and weight conditions. A. Longmont

B. St. Louis

C. Montreal

IMG_0813.JPG That’s what I was doing from about 9:30 last night till about 9:30 this morning. It’s amazing how good you sleep and feel when you are at home. In this case it is my third home, Montreal. I really like being here and am always comfortable. A big bonus is that the sun is actually shining today!

All I need now is for my luggage to show up from the airport and I will be happy…
