Somewhere else

Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

I am not exactly sure where I am right now but earlier today we were at the Supreme Court and the White House. In fact right now I am again looking at Washington, DC on this giant HD projector TV thing. Nicole Kidmann is so big she makes Jal look like Plo.

I am having a hard time adjusting to the heat I think. Being out for just 2 hours today I was pretty wrecked. The major issue is that I had no transition. It was pretty nice but not warm when I was in Colorado, then it was cold and rainy in Montreal and since we have been here we have seen 90+ each day. The heat affects everyone a litte different and from the looks of it Scotty is having a hard time keeping clean.scotty.jpg

There were some pretty funny photos today featuring both Martin and Dietrich goofing off at the Canadian Embassy. Shortly after we had a look at the White House but got ran off because of a discussion about jumping a fence or something.

Sommerville

Rooming with Jackson, Jal, and Dietrich. We are staying in one of those suite things. I really like the chemistry we have on this team. We all get on well and its starting to show on the race course.

The last and only time I was here was with Kevin Monahan one of the 7up years. I don’t remember if it was 2002 or 2003 but I do remember Marty crashing Vasilli and Jonas winning the kick. I think I was 8th or something. Racing these East Coast crits is nutty. It seems every local guy thinks he is a field sprinter and has a shot at winning. There is more chopping, hacking, and clacking then any other series of races we do all year.

I was trying to lead out Martin here but he didn’t manage to steal a little kids bike like I did so he had a hard time holding the wheel. The other pictures are two different signs of being on the road. I think scotty is missing someone and has hopes of finding a new furry friend. Plo trying to play basketball, MAKE IT RAIN!!!

Coupe du monde de Montréal

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

Gone

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

I sold my motorcycle today. I wouldn’t say I am glad its gone but it does make life a little easier with one less thing to worry about. Plus the only thing better than having a moto is getting a new one.

hands off

So when you have heaps of surgury on you hand this is what it looks like:DSC00180.JPG

That is the left paw of Michael Gibson from Mob Cyclery. He messed his hand up a few months ago in a lion taming (ladder at the bike shop really) accident but the good news is all the hard work from both him and his doctors paid off and he will be resuming his normal hand activities soon.
